I started Univers in 2001 after several years working in graphic design and architecture studios.

As creative director, I try to set the tone for the studio creatively, and with regards to how we interact with clients and suppliers. Constant review of design ideas, and keeping our clients informed and involved are my two mantras.

I can be seen in my ever-decreasing spare time cycling and running, and have a passion for international film, and of course my kids and wife.

You could say I have a fairly systematic way of seeing the world. I love document design, especially developing new grid layouts and typography, as well as building websites and putting together sign packages.

Of course, at home, my young daughter makes sure there's not too much system to anything. I like spending time with family and friends, and escape every now and then to the Playstation for some therapy.

I've been keeping the paperwork running smoothly at Univers since the beginning, which takes lots of organisational skill!

Unofficially, I see it as my job to spoil the studio by bringing in yummy morning or afternoon tea.

As project coordinator at Univers, I provide support and information to the design team to help deliver things on time for our clients.

I'm also brand manager for bee and tree, the organic cotton baby clothes range, which keeps me busy!
